All Done| Lush Empties

So I just had to do another spotlight on Lush since they’re a huge favourite of mine. I’m sure others feel the same way, but Lush tends to be that one brand that I’m able to finish all the way through without a struggle. It could probably be the fact that I get excited to move on to the next product that I’ve been dying to try.

I’ve mentioned it before but just in case you didn’t know about my beauty background: I have oily acne-prone skin and course and dry curly hair.

Herbalism Facial Cleanser
This is a very unique cleanser, and if you’re not use to more natural-based products you might find this tricky at first. It’s almost like play-doh before you mix it with water, it doesn’t really lather-up – and aside all that, the smell isn’t the greatest (unless you like grassy smells). But once you get the hang of it this product works so well. This didn’t suck out all the moisture from my skin; instead it really helped balance my oily skin from becoming oily too quickly. I found that it worked great with my clarisonic.
Would I repurchase?: As good as it was, I think I’ll pass since I have other cleansers that suit my needs better.

Cosmetic Warrior Fresh Face Mask
This one’s another kind of funky smelling product since it has a mixture of tea tree, kaolin, and garlic (yes, garlic) in this mask. My skin looked brighter and felt super smooth every time I used it. The cooling sensation especially is phenomenal.
Would I repurchase?: Yes. Since Lush has a recycling program with their facial masks, I just might get a refill on this…but we’ll see.

Vanishing Cream Facial Moisturizer
When it comes to moisturizers I tend to be picky since a lot of the ones that are made for oily skin types don’t always work that well. I now have an affordable one that suits what I look for in a moisturizer, but whenever I want to splurge again this one definitely comes to mind. It’s so light that it absorbs into my skin very well, and of course the lavender smell makes it even better.
Would I repurchase?: Eventually yes…I just struggle with the price.

Curly Wurly Coconut Shampoo
I’ve raved about this before and I’ll rave about it again – this is an amazing shampoo for hair that needs extra hydration. This is a very special shampoo and it just keeps getting better after every use. You can read more of my review and other Lush products here.
Would I repurchase?: Big yes.

Marilyn Hair Treatment
So I purchased this quite awhile ago when I had my hair coloured blonde. I tried many hair products to help maintain the blonde from getting brassy, and since I’m such a Lushie I thought I would try this one out. To be honest I wasn’t satisfied with the treatment. I didn’t really see any improvements, besides making my hair smell good. Perhaps if you’re a lighter or natural blonde it would work better. And since I have long thick hair, this was only good for 3 applications. For the price that it is, I think it should have lasted a lot longer.
Would I repurchase?: Sadly no.

  2. I absolutely adore lush products! The Let the good times roll cleanser is my favourite and smells so decadently sweet.
