All Glitz Out

There’s been nothing but sunshine in the past couple of days and it has been bringing out the sparkle in me. I don’t necessarily go for glittery nails but every now and then a pop of it never hurt. Whether it be the finishing touches on the tips of your nails, a top for extra glitz, or just painted on one nail for a trendy look – it’s fun to play around with.

Essence Effect Glitter Jewels Nail Polish | 03 Glitz & Glam
Normally I wouldn’t go for a glittery pink but the inner child in me was spoiled and needed it. I think this polish is good enough to be worn alone, but of course if you want more of a standout then a base colour would do the trick.

We all know that mermaids are awesome and this colour totally represents them. It would definitely be more of a statement with a sea green colour underneath for more oomph.

China Glaze | Seahorsin’ Around
Another oceany colour here that could also be thrown into the mermaid category. I’m a bit obsessed with mermaids, but aren’t we all? This is pigmented enough that you might be able to get away with just one coat.

China Glaze | Cosmic
Here’s a twist to your classic black. Unfortunately all the cooler looking glitters sunk to the bottom of my bottle, but when it is applied nicely it looks very unique and just like the name – cosmic!

China Glaze | Shooting Stars
If you’re looking for just a subtle glitz look this is a great option since it’s neutral and only catches eyes in bright light. It’s a glittery shade that can never go wrong.

  1. My inner child made me grab Glitz & Glam too, it looks great over a dark red
