Review: Amie Skincare

No matter what your skin type is, you will always be out on the hunt for the best and latest products that will work miracles on your skin. For awhile now, the trend in skincare has been all about au naturel. Well lucky us! Amie has finally found their way into Canada from the UK, and I must say it is quite exciting! All products are 95% natural ingredients and free from harsh chemicals. So no parabens, mineral oils, and best of all, no animal extracts (yes, this line is completely vegan friendly). I was able to get a go at some of these which catered well to my oily skin (I’ll keep you updated on how these work!).

Radiant Dawn Exfoliating Daily Wash
If you are looking for a gentle everyday exfoliate, this is the one you need to pick up. Besides the appreciative smell (green apple, blueberry seeds, and lemon, yum!), it works to unclog pores, wash away dead skin cells, and it leaves your face clear from access dirt and oil. From my experience, this is the best exfoliant I’ve tried on my oily skin. Other exfoliants tend to over dry and leave the skin very tight, however this one leaves your face feeling fresh and balanced. The exfoliating “beards” are also very subtle and gentle on the skin.

Spring Clean Deep Cleansing Mask
Oily skinned lady knows that a weekly clay mask is their skin’s best friend. Our skin is prone to more dirt and impurities which can cause us to break out. However, a thin layer of this once a week (or twice if you prefer) does a wonderful job of clearing up problematic skin. The peppermint gives off a relaxing cooling sensation (ah), while the lime purifies and leaves an amazing smell.

Morning Dew Matte-Finish Moisturiser
And if I wasn’t already impressed enough, this MATTE moisturizer had me at hello! This light moisturizer adsorbs quickly into the skin – and most importantly, it does what it says it will do, which is leaving your skin with a natural matte finish. Some of the natural extracts included are rosehip, bilbery, and Vitamin E (major bonus points). And yet again, the smell is amazingly fresh (like you just got out of the shower) and not too overpowering.

Morning Light Hydrating Daily Moisturiser
I haven’t been able to try this one out just yet since we are still in the summertime. I do see myself reaching for this in the winter time since my skin will be less oily in the much colder temperatures. Just from testing it out on my hand, I can see it working its magic to hydrate skin that may need the help. Did I mention it smells like roses? *sniff sniff*

Amie launched from the 11th of August (in Canada) and ranges from 6.50$-12$.
