Beauty balance

Happy Tuesday, everyone! As we enter into the week and upcoming Easter long weekend, I thought I’d share with you a recently PR package I received. Farleyco kindly send over a box of products for me to try out, and although a review wasn’t required, I still like to share my beauty discoveries and what products I’m playing around with.

Ecotools Muslin Polishing Cloths
I’ve used makeup remover cloths in the past, but these Ecotools Muslin Cloths have officially become my new favourite way of removing makeup. Washing away my cleanser every night has been a lot easier, and my face feels so refreshed and clean. I haven’t tried throwing the cloths with the rest of my laundry just yet, but it’s nice knowing that it’s washing machine friendly. It’s such a minor detail, but I also adore the reusable pouch, which makes it easy to store and travel with.

Real Techniques 2 Miracle Mini Eraser Sponges
Since I already own quite a few Real Techniques makeup brushes and have been a fan of their Miracle Complexion Sponge, I got excited about their minis! Although I love their original sponge, I do find it to be too big for blending out any makeup around the under eye area, so these mini sponges are a great addition to have. When damp, they get to a pretty decent size that I would preferable like to have around when I travel to apply both my foundation and concealer with. They do just as well as the Beauty Blenders for a fraction of the price.

So…? Sexy Eau de Toilette
I never heard of this brand before, but I’m sucker when it comes to fragrances. With Top Notes: Mandarin & Blackcurrent, Middle Notes: Rose & Jasmine, and Base Notes: Sandalwood & Musk — just as the name says, it’s sexy. It is however a very light scent compared to what I’m used to. It does hold up well after a few hours of wear, but fades into the Musk and Sandalwood notes. Since the bottle I received is small enough to carry around it’s perfect for re-freshening up. I like the scent but it’s not something I would constantly reach for.

Earth Kiss Detox Mud Pore Cleanse Mud Mask Glacial Mud & White Tea
This came just in time since when I’m on my period, I love to pamper myself with a good at-home facial mask to help calm my skin from hormonal breakouts. I haven’t tried out an 100% natural face mask in awhile so Himalayan Shilajit infused mask with Glacial Mud, White Team and the cooling sensations of Spearmint have been a dream to use at the end of a long day.

Johnny’s Chopshop Grooming Cream Glide ’em High
I initially thought I’d be able to pull off using this grooming hair cream, and I would’ve if there wasn’t a strong masculine scent to it. I know some women don’t mind, but personally I’m just not into wearing musky male scents on myself. I’m not complaining though since it’s obviously made and targeted toward the male counterpart. I will very likely be passing this down to one of my guy friends, and they will probably admire the whole 1950s inspired vibe of the packaging.

Have you tried out any of these brands before?

  1. I have never tried any of these products but I would really like to try ectools muslin clothes, I never knew you could remove makeup that way! And beauty blenders are everything, I should definitely invest in some smaller ones for blending concealer xx

Ooh some great items! I’ve heard great things about muslin cloths so should probably give those a whirl.. I used to love that ‘So..’ scent, it reminds me of childhood summers :’)

I think I’m a forever muslin cloth user now because they work so great and get every lick of makeup off! It was my first time with a So… scent, for sure it’s young but it still smells great 🙂

I have the larger version of those sponges, but will definitely be checking out the smaller ones! They do seem like they’d be a bit better for blending, especially around the nose or eyes. Thanks for sharing, girl!
