Hard Candy

hard-candy-ss17-collection
As we’re constantly evolving, our taste naturally change over time as well. As I get a little bit older it’s becoming more apparent on how I treat and view makeup. My past perspectives were about trying to hide things I didn’t like, while my new perspectives are always trying to enhancing the features I was born with instead. Many, if not all of us, are also swayed by trends and we find inspiration in them. Makeup can be and will always be a fun thing to play around with no matter where you are in life. Read more »

The Hot Stone

hand-and-stone-massage-and-facial-spa
As someone such as myself who gets 4-5 workouts in during the week, while doing my best to eat healthier by bringing in more veggies and making it a huge point to cook more than eating outside, I sometimes forget that relaxation is a key factor too when it comes to our overall health and well-being. I’ve been into meditation for awhile, and as surprising as it may sound I haven’t further explored other methods of it or really ever thought of massage being a form of it as well. Getting massages regularly not only feel amazing, but they’re proven to alleviate stress, improve flexibility and circulation, lower blood pressure, strengthen your immune system, and help you get better sleep. With summer just around the corner, now is the perfect time to introduce new products into your routine. A full face of makeup really isn’t ideal in heat waves and humidity so I like to stick with makeup that is light yet durable, and has the purpose of protecting the skin from the sun. In your face

beauty-origin-lab
This year, 2017, so far has been all about skincare. Aside from my own interest of improving my complexion, I was lucky enough to be introduced to so many new skincare discoveries and products to stir-up my enthusiasm for it. When I was in my early twenties I didn’t think much of it — a cleanser, a harsh astringent, moisturizer, and a spot treatment were all I had and only knew of. Read more »

Je ne sais quoi

Although the temperatures have been playing some serious mind games with all of us, how can you not be excited about the month of June that marks the start to summer? We all have a special spot for summer. It’s when we go outside more, spend more time with the important people in our lives, explore around the city and beyond — it’s where we build many wonderful and not so wonderful memories — summer just has that certain “je ne sais quoi”. 7-in-1

grace-and-stella-7-in-1-massager-cleanser
For the last while, skincare has taken over my beauty world. In this day and age, we have so much access to useful information about your skin’s health, that taking the right precautions for it are foolproof. Using the right cleansers, serums, and lotions are important; but using the right tools are just as important for your skin too. Read more »

Starting from the root

vanity-planet-groove-scalp-massaging-shampoo-brush
When it comes to hair, everywhere in the world has different styles, techniques, and beliefs when it comes to dealing with it — that goes for the health of the hair and scalp as well. I’ve mentioned it a zillion times before, but in my short-lived hairstyling career working in a Japanese salon, I’ve learned so many knowledgeable skills and ideals that not many salons in North America, Europe, and other places in the world know too much about or apply much emphasis on just yet. Although I’m no longer dealing with hair (just my own) I took what I learned with me to this day. Read more »
