If you share the same very oily skin as I do, then you know how difficult it can be to find great products to keep yourself from looking like a grease ball (yeah, I said it). It’s hard to accept now but having oily skin is a blessing ladies (our skin ages much slower than any other skin type!). And let’s face it, we can’t stay matte all day, but we can try to keep it under control. Here are my go to products:
Clarisonic Acne Daily Clarifying Cleanser
Oily skin is usually prone to breakouts and/or acne so I always like to stick with cleansers that are aimed towards that. It’s better to stay away from any cream cleansers.
Bioderma Sebium Matte Fluide Matifiant Moisturizer
I’m sure you’ve heard it a million times now, but oily skin still needs a moisturizer! I always look for matte, oil-free, or gel moisturizers.
Paula’s Choice Shine Stopper
No matter what I do I will always end up shiny in 3-4 hours. But since I have been using this after my skincare regimen, it has increased a shine-free face for an extra hour or 2. Eh, why not!
Elf Zit Zapper
My acne has been well-behaved the last few months but once in awhile I’ll get a friend (or 2) on my chin area. A targeting sport treatment is always in my bag for those just in-case emergencies.
Tarte BB Tinted Treatment
This has been in my collection for awhile now and I’m surprised I haven’t used it any sooner! I’m not sure about the 12 hour claim but it definitely keeps shine away from my face longer throughout the day.
Smashbox Photo Finish More Than Primer Blemish Control
A BB cream normally already has a primer in the mix. But if you’d rather keep it light on makeup for these hot summer days – this primer makes your face look smoother while taking care of business. It includes 2% salicylic acid for a spot free face. Loves!
Manhatten Clear Face 2 in 1 Powder & Makeup
I don’t really like to wear powder but for the times when I really need it, this one is light enough for me not to feel cakey.
Urban Decay de-slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray
Since oily skin tends to melt off your makeup, a setting spray is very needed. Plus it just feels so nice on the face!
