Couldn’t live without in 2016

With Christmas literally here by the end of this week, it’s even harder to believe that 2016 is just about finished as well. I know, I know, we haven’t even finished with Christmas yet, but I just couldn’t help myself and I felt the need to share my most loved beauty products of 2016. But hey, perhaps these are some products you might want to consider for your Boxing Day shopping!

Sibu Nourishing Face Cream
This year has been a roller coaster of testing out moisturizers on my end. I have only a few recently new favourites – however, the Sibu Nourishing Face Cream is the one I have always crawled back to. This organic sea buckthorn seed oil moisturizer has always worked miracles on my problematic skin. Not only has it helped with my skin’s texture and collagen production, but it has always helped to heal my skin by helping to minimize cystic breakouts and also has helped a lot with the healing of past acne scars.

Crazy Rumors Natural Lip Balm
I use to be one of those people who would jump around a lot when it came to their lip balms. I would own so many different brands that ended up being barely used up or not even touched. My excuse has always been that I’ve never found one that truly worked for me. Throughout the year I was on a quest to finding more natural, cruelty free, and vegan beauty products to play around with, and that’s when I stumbled upon Crazy Rumors. I know there are already so many 100% natural lip balms out there, and I’ve tried many, but this one tops them all. Not only do I love Crazy Rumors for their products, but I love all their fun and delicious flavours. ‘Bubble Gum’ is hands down my favourite. What can I say – I’m a classic kinda girl!

Milani Colour Statement Lipstick
I know liquid lipsticks were a big thing this year, and will continue to be, but the practicality of wearing them every single day was always unrealistic in my eyes. A classic formula of a regular lipstick will never let you down no matter what. I’ve been a huge fan of Milani Colour Statement Lipsticks for as long has they have been around. The colour ‘Naturally Chic’, has been my My-Lips-But-Better all year around. On my lips it’s the perfect medium browny-pink nude.

Beauty Blender
It took awhile for me to justify spending 20 bucks on a sponge; but since my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge got it’s wear after about one year, I decided to find out if the Beauty Blender was really worth all the hype that it gets. All that time worrying about if it was going to be worth the price seems like a waste now since it was pretty much love at first application. Ever since I bought a Beauty Blender, I’m finding it really hard to going back to regular brushes to apply my foundation. The way it applies your makeup and naturally blends makeup flawlessly is pretty much foolproof.

Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator
I’ve honestly only ever owned two or three highlighters, and even with that I never really used any of them to their full potential. There was only one that I truly liked but I wanted to find one that I would actually love to use. Of course I went searching on Youtube for the best highlighters and Glided Honey by Laura Geller seemed to be a popular one on everyone’s top 5 highlighters lists. Over the summertime and with a tan, Glided Honey’s gold tones shine brighter and exaggerate a perfect sun-kissed glow. And with the tan gone for the winter, I found that the gold still pops on a medium skin tone but in a more sophisticated way.

100% Pure Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream
Besides moisturizers, trying out some new and natural eye creams were also on my experiment list for the year. I use to have three on rotation but recently the 100% Pure Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream has been the only one I’ve been able to stick with. I love that fact that this caffeinated green tea and coffee eye cream helps to increase circulation to brighten up any darkness around the eyes. It’s also very concentrated with anti-aging vitamins and rosehip oil which make your eye area look more awaken even on those days where you lacked sleep from the night before.

What were some of your 2016 “couldn’t live withouts”?

On a side note I wish everyone a wonderful Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!
