What do I like about fall? Well besides the trendier (less naked lol) fashion, I would have to say the fact that I can wear a bit more makeup again. In the summer we tan so there’s no real need to be wearing any makeup, or if we did, it was very minimal. But fall has arrived, and it makes makeup exciting to wear again (since it won’t be melting off our faces from the heat). In my opinion, a great way to transition back is into lip colours.
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Sugar Plum
When applied on my hand it appears to be warmer, however the colour does cool down a lot on my lips. Regardless, it is still a favourite everyday plum for the season.
L’oreal Colour Riche in Toasted Almond
Normally I go into fall with a summer tan (I’m well into the NW40s) so light nude lipsticks still don’t go well with my skin tone. However, this is the perfect nude for the summer. I even love to wear this when I loose the tan since it gives a nice warm brown colour.
Sleek Pout Polish w/SPF15 in Chocolate Kiss
You all already know I’m a HUGE fan of the Sleek Pout Polishes since I have featured them a million times on my blog, so it only came natural to show you that I use them all year round! It keeps my lips very moisturized all day and overall it’s just another perfect everyday colour.
Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate in 04
I guess you would say this one is for my more dramatic days! It is definitely not a colour for everyone, but if you want to be a bit more daring, I think this is a great colour to start on.
I’m sure some of you might be curious to what it actually looks like on…well violà!
MAC in Kinda Sexy
This is an example of a light nude that would still look crazy if I were to wear it in the summer. Regardless, it is an amazing colour on. This is a new colour to my collection, so I look forward to rocking this out later into the fall!
City Lips in Sun Diego
I discovered City Lips awhile ago and had to try it out since I am always on the lookout for lip plumpers. And now I am obsessed! The instructions are to put the gloss on first before applying another lipstick, but I love the way it looks on it’s own that I don’t see a need for anything else on top. It amazingly brings out your natural lip colour.
