Favourite essence

I always believed that it’s not necessary to spend a lot just to look good. Especially now with the massive improvement of drugstore products throughout the last few years, it’s almost guaranteed that you’re bound to find the best essentials on any budget. Lucky enough I’ve found some of my favourites from the very affordable Essence Cosmetics line.

When it comes to the eyes, less is always more in my opinion. I like to keep things pretty neutral on a daily basis, but instead of grabbing for eyeshadows when I crave a pop of colour I’ve been gravitating towards eyeliners. The Long Lasting Eye Pencils I picked up are almost perfect for an everyday look without being over the top. I find they also help my brown eyes stand out just a bit more than usual. I’ve also been a fan of their Lash Princess Volume Mascara, which I only wished came in a waterproof formula.

If I could save only one item of makeup the answer is always going to be for eyebrows! Although the packaging for the Eyebrow Stylist Set is wonky and cheap, the product itself works like a charm. Besides the fact that it lasts all day, I love how easy it is to control the product and not have to worry about it distributing unevenly. To really finish off the overall look, Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel is a wonderful sidekick to use since its tiny fibers help add volume and shape to your brows.

Although it’s labeled as a Liquid Lipstick it’s quite far from being one – however I’m not mad about it. I consider these to be highly pigmented lipglosses that also leaves a bit of a stain after a few hours of wear. These are amazing on top of other similar lip colours, but definitely look just as great on their own. Out of all their lip products that I’ve tried these ones are my favourite and I would recommend them to anyone.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! xo.

Hola Stacey!

    Feliz finde!

  7. I love that Think Khaki shade! I’m the same way on a daily basis – less is definitely more and eyeshadow can be so finicky and time consuming. A nice swipe of eye liner is a great way to brighten up your look! I’ve been using the Essence Eyebrow Designer pencil but it’s a real pain to sharpen, so I’ll have to check out the other eyebrow products!

I think it’s great replacement for black which can be a bit too dramatic for the day hehe. I’ve also tried that eyebrow pencil of theirs but their other brow stuff is much better!

  8. Great review of these beauty bits. I agree, you do not need to spend a lot just to look good and drugstore products have gotten so much better. The eye pencils look amazing and loving both colors. I need to check these out as I’m in the market for some. xx

Your eye makeup looks SOOO good. I don’t think I could ever do that. I totally agree that less is more. I feel like eye makeup makes me look old and haggard, it seems to set into my fine lines…ick!! I’m learning how to do eyeliner. My hand isn’t as steady as it used to be (or I need to back off caffein. LOL.) so it usually turns out messy. Can’t get a straight line. Pencils seem to be easier and more forgiving to use. 🙂

That’s what I said when I did this look hahah, you can do anything you want to do! I use to always try and put heavy eye makeup when I was a bit younger but by the end of the day it looked so bad. It’s better to stick with simply fresh looks! LOL getting the perfect line can be a struggle at times and I definitely do like the control of a pencil more than a liquid liner .
