MAC Cosmetics has been featured on my blog many times but I have never really discussed my favourite products from this very loved brand. Whenever I’m looking for a specific eyeshadow colour I usually turn to MAC first to see what they got since it’s almost or most definitely guaranteed great quality and pigmentation for your buck. I’ve had I few hits and misses with colour selections, however over the last few years I have found the colours that best suit my style.
This is a cult favourite for MAC lovers and I’m pretty sure even until now it continues to be. The taupey tone colour looks amazing on everybody making it the most universal eyeshadow ever. Believe it or not but this colour is very versatile and suitable for both day and night time looks.
This was an unexpected favourite because the thought of green-ish eyeshadows doesn’t normally appeal to me. On my eyes it doesn’t appear that green but more of a olive-brown antique gold. For a daytime look I like to use this a bit differently by using it in the crease instead of the lid since it gives off a unique definition to brown eyes.
This is my third time purchasing this and as you can see I’m just about close to buying my fourth one. It’s personally my most loved everyday eyeshadow since it’s the perfect warm medium gold/bronze colour. It’s even more special in the summertime when my skin is tanned – giving my overall makeup look a more goddessy feel.
This is a beautiful colour for an overall wash on the lids. This is the best option for those who want a very natural makeup look but also want a bit of oomph. When I want to bring my look into the night I love to pair Patina with Satin Taupe, or Mulch (below) in the crease or as accents on the outer corners.
This has always been a favourite for the outer corners to create a sultry smokey eye since using black eyeshadows tend to make my hooded eyes appear even smaller. My favourite pairing – Sumptuous Olive on the overall lids with Mulch in the crease are a dream come true.
Sometimes I want my baby browns to standout and with what better way than with purple eyeshadows! This one isn’t just any purple either since it had flexes of gold in it which I find makes brown eyes appear even brighter. It’s seriously a pretty colour all on it’s own or with Casino (below), or with any other gold eyeshadow along your bottom line.
I hold Casino dear to me since it was one of the first MAC eyeshadows I have ever purchased when I started my makeup journey as a teenager. On me, it’s a very subtle gold that could be worn for everyday without looking too glammed up. I also love the way it makes my brown eyes appear lighter which makes them really stand out.
I’d love to know what are your favourite MAC eyeshadows! xo
