For the Love Of Lush

I love Lush, but really who doesn’t right? None of their products are tested on animals, most or possibly all of their products are vegan friendly, a wide majority of their ingredients are natural with very few but safe synthetics, everything smells deliciously amazing, and best of all it’s all freshly made. For all you Lushies out there – not only can you agree that it’s almost impossible to leave the store empty handed, but that it’s also tricky to name just one of your favourite products. I’ve managed to narrow it down to my top 5.

Sea Spray Hair Mist
This is hands down my most loved Lush product. It has been a very long time favourite of mine for years now and for many reasons. If I wear my hair straight or leave it in it’s natural curly state this spray works differently but looks amazing both ways. It adds a lot of wild texture and volume when you need it. I’m going to admit it, sometimes I even spray this off my hair a bit and onto my neck as a fragrance since the scene is hella amazing. Just one whiff of this send my mind to the beach.

Curly Wurly Coconut Shampoo
As much as I love salon brand shampoos especially when I have coloured treated hair, they still don’t have that “je ne sais quoi” like Lush shampoos do. If your hair is dying of thirst (thirsty hair haha) you need to go out and grab this asap since it helps to moisturize dry and frizzy hair. There is only one thing that I don’t completely love about this product though; they are the coconut bits. The coconut does help with the formula of the shampoo, but often I will find these little critters scattered all over my bathroom floor once I get out of the shower to dry my hair. I guess that’s the price of nice hair. Either way it has never stopped me from buying it since the product does work.

Lip Service Lip Balm
I’m usually skeptical of lip balms that have beeswax as an ingredient in them since most of the ones I’ve tried worked against my lips. However, sometime last year I forgot to carry a lip balm in my bag and there was a Lush store nearby so I decided to pop-in to get one. It quickly became a favourite since it kept my lips moisturized all day and the only time I ever really need to retouch it was when I drank or ate.

Godiva Shampoo Bar
My hair is a lot more complicated than it looks, so I normally don’t use the shampoo in hotels when I travel. I also try to keep my carrying liquids light as well since I don’t check-in bags. So this is also another reason why Lush is so awesome – solid shampoos is where it’s at. This is a 2 in 1 so it shampoos and conditions my dry and processed locks. My bar took a beating but I promise you when I say Godiva usually looks a lot prettier usually! Again the smell is super amazing.

Trichomania Solid Shampoo
I just got this restocked since I love it to bits. As you may have noticed I’m a sucker for coconut ingredients since all curly haired girls know especially how well it works and treats our hair. This shampoo is very rich and creamy, so it helps to detangle hair while leaving it soft with shine. This has definitely been a game changer in my haircare routine since it acts as a treatment for my hair as well. I find that for the days I use this shampoo and don’t feel like blowdrying my hair (a.k.a. hot summer days); my hair has managed to air-dry almost perfectly with very minimal frizz.
