Heating up

As the start to summer approaches I can’t help but feel a bit overwhelmed. While others may get this feeling on the eve of new years, I get this in the beginning of summer. It marks that halfway point through the year and it’s always an awakening overview of what we have done so far.

Have we reached or even started any of the goals we said we would do? Have we done anything new or something we can be proud on? We’re always told to live in the moment, and as much of a believer in that as I am, just sometimes my curiosity and worries gets the best of me. We are our own worst critics, but when we truly reflect on what you have done we’ll find that we’ve already accomplished so much halfway through the year. Whether it’s big or small it’s still something to be proud of.

Summer is the entryway into more opportunities. I’ve always seen this time of year as a rebirth or reinvention to evolve into the person you want to become. It’s a chance to improve and to not get discouraged by any challenges that come your way. It’s a chance to love and fall in love all over again. It’s just the perfect time of the year (:

  2. I feel the same way! It’s like ‘bam!’ 6 months and it feels like you haven’t accomplished anything. I’d love to get my house sorted out and start saving/planning for a vacation (well needed!)

I love your thoughts in this post! I’d love to accomplish so much during the summer since I haven’t done much to achieve my years goals so far. Also, I want to enjoy and travel as much as I can too during this time 🙂

I feel like we usually accelerate by the halfway point of the year so there’s going to be many opportunities for you to get your goals on track (:

I also use the summer season to reflect on the last months and to see if I have reached the goals I set in the beginning of the year. I set myself the goal to live healthier and get in shape and I think I’m doing pretty good. I really want to focus on blogging this summer and spend more time with my friends and family. xx
