In your face

This year, 2017, so far has been all about skincare. Aside from my own interest of improving my complexion, I was lucky enough to be introduced to so many new skincare discoveries and products to stir-up my enthusiasm for it. When I was in my early twenties I didn’t think much of it — a cleanser, a harsh astringent, moisturizer, and a spot treatment were all I had and only knew of. Although I went to Beauty School, it wasn’t until after I graduated where I learned there’s a lot more to it. Especially now with so many products on the market, the sky’s the limit when it comes to taking excellent care of your skin.

If I could go back in time, I’d most likely not use such chemicalized skincare products on my face. Did anyone else think that the more it stunk or the more it left your face feeling extra squeaky clean meant that it worked the best? It’s crazy what we think and how things change overtime! As a lot of us now try our best to steer away from the harsh products — natural ingredients are what it’s all about. Beauty Origin Lab takes the time to study and figure out what the skin actually needs with their vast amount of products for all skin types to play around with. They recently came out with some new products, and they’ve already been wonderful additions to my daily skincare routine.
— Revitalizing Mask with French Yellow Clay
A face mask can never do wrong! Right off the bat though, I knew this mask was going to be unique since it’s already not your traditional grey or green clay mask. This Revitalizing Mask with French Yellow Clay is perfect for those days when you want a more gentle and mild facial mask to pamper yourself with — it’s pretty much the best go-to after a long day or whenever you just want to simply relax. It gets the job done by pulling out impurities, and by stimulating blood and lymph circulation while strengthening connective tissues. I love how bright my skin looks after every use, and the fact that it is so mild makes is great to use every 2-3 days during the week.
— Natural Moisturizing Hyaluronic Acid Serum
I’m no stranger when it comes to Hyaluronic Acid, since at the beginning of this year I was introduced to this [I personally feel] life-changing serum. Especially when the weather doesn’t seem to want to make up it’s mind when it comes to the warm and cool temperatures, Hyaluronic Acid has been a life saver in my skincare routine. Because it retains such a high content of fluid for our skin, it’s perfect for hydration, anti-aging, and overall making skin look and feel more plump and smooth. This Natural Moisturizing Hyaluronic Acid Serum by Beauty Origin Lab reminds me a lot of The Ordinary’s Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, however it’s advantage is that I find that it is less sticky upon application, which makes it perfect for day time use. Although I have oily skin, I use to have a really weird dry patch on my chin that really bothered me, but ever since using Hyaluronic Acid all over my neck and face it has just about disappeared.
— Anti-Ageing Moisturiser
Applying Beauty Orgin Lab’s Anti-Ageing Moisturiser right after their Hyaluronic Acid Serum has truly been a match made in heaven. It quickly absorbs into the skin and make your face as smooth as a baby’s bottom. Aside from moisturizing the skin perfectly without feeling sticky or oily after, the Anti-Ageing Moisturiser helps fight free radicals, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improves elasticity and microcirculation , reduces discolouration, improves skin texture, and the list pretty much goes on! I know I’m doing quite a few comparisons here, but this Anti-Ageing Moisturiser resembles a toned down Korean skincare essence with a mixture of Shiseido’s Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate, which I dearly love — but the price — not so much. Of all the products I’ve tried from Beauty Origin Lab, this by far has been my favourite product, and is something I’d more than likely be purchasing again.

  1. That clay mask sounds lovely! I’ve just recently began to realize how much I love and enjoy clay masks haha, so I’m happy to learn more about brands/working ones. Perhaps the yellow shade is a bit creepy but kind of fun too haha! Xx

Thanks girl! I’m trying to hard to prep my skin for the warmer weather. I want to be able to feel confident without coverage this summer :]

As I use the Anti-Aging Moisturiser more right after using hyluronic acid, it is absolutely amazing! I know what you mean, I feel like I’d rather focus on my skin more and make it the best it can be <3
