I’m always on the hunt for makeup products that are not easy to find – or aren’t even sold in my country. Here are some products I received as gifts or picked up myself that might spark your interest.
Sleek Cosmetics (UK)
Face Form in Medium
Being someone with oily skin, it can be difficult to find that perfect bronzer that isn’t too shimmery or grey on the skin.
It includes a matte bronzer, shimmer highlighter, and a shimmer blush (looks more like a shimmer bronzer which is perfect if you want the switch from matte).
The shimmer in these leave you with a natural glow more than a glittery mess. The medium shade suits medium/tanned to olive skin tones.
Blush in Rose Gold
Rose Gold has been an ongoing trend for awhile and continues to be a favourite in 2014.
Anyone can wear this colour since it’s a fair amount of pink with the perfect amount of gold shimmer undertones.
It leaves a very pretty yet soft sheen to the cheeks.
p2 Kometik (Germany)
Pure Color Lipstick in 105 Bondi Beach
It is quite girly but flattering on. It is very easy to apply and makes your lips feel and look moisturized. One con is the design that goes in a deep angle so you end up with less product. But the price makes up for it (€3.90/ C$5.92).
If you don’t live in Europe these are quite difficult to find. The only place that I’ve found that sells these online are on ebay. And when you do find them you better move quick because they sell fast like hot cakes.
The colour in the tube appears as a very bright neon pink but when applied, it goes on very sheer. It is disappointing that it isn’t as bold on the lips, but none the less it leave you with a polish look. This gloss is great for those who want some colour but are scared of a bold pink lip.
This is true to colour which goes on as a light pinky-coral. It’s hard to criticize Canmake since it is not meant to be a prestige line, but I do know that there are better products in this colour out there. It’s not that bad but probably this colour from the collection that can be lived without. It’s an everyday colour especially if you don’t feel like wearing a lot of makeup.
This colour is similar to my own lip colour so it is a your lips but better kind of gloss. In the tube it looks a lot more mauve than on the lips, but when applied it blends out. This will compliment a smokey eye well.
Of all the colours, this one happens to be my favourite. It is a soft pink that is the most pigmented from all the colours I have. It is also the most versatile colour – it would fit well with your regular day makeup routine or your weekend nightlife routine.
Overall these are very moisturizing, non-sticky, and if not most but all can be your everyday colours. They are not meant to be very vivid and bold, but they are enough to finish off your makeup look.
