Making room for improvements

I already have a pretty set in stone skincare routine that works just the way I want it to. I didn’t think it could get any better – that’s until i was introduced to these b.liv skincare products. You can’t say it won’t work when you haven’t tried it out first, and since I’m getting a bit older I’ve been all about taking care of my skin first before covering it up with makeup.

Liven Up

My skin definitely has a harder time in the winter with all the cold and dry air which leaves my usually oily skin with random dry flaky patches and acne spots. I didn’t think there were any solutions to these problems until I tried this guy out. Deep Impact is a deep pores cleansing & massage emulsion with it’s key ingredients including kaolin (adsorbs oil and dead cells that clog pores), jojoba beads (for gentle but deep exfoliation), whitch hazel (reduces oil and minimizes pores), aloe vera (anti-inflammatory that also hydrates), and tea tree (antiseptic to soothe and heal blemishes).

It’s a rare occasion when I say things like this but I’m pretty sure I’ve found a miracle worker. This has seriously and unexpectedly transformed my skin for the better. I’m still in aw with how it has changed my complexion into a healthy and glowing state again. This has been a reminder of when I was still a student and when my skin looked and felt fresh, smooth, and awaken. The best part is that it has helped clear up my blemishes, dry patches, and other skin concerns super quick. I’m already so sure I cannot live without this!

Going Pore

Ever since a dermatologist once told me pore strips aren’t the best method of removing blackheads I haven’t used any since then. Using them not only damages the skin but can also lead into hyperpigmentation. I’ve tried other ways of removing blackheads, but I haven’t seen too many products such as Off With Those Heads which is a blackheads sebum gel that helps get rid of those unwanted. I’m pretty skeptical when it comes to products that say they will extract naturally, but this one has proven itself to work.

This baby is infused with tea tree oil, witch hazel extract, and aloe vera extract which help to gently penetrate deep into pores to control oil secretion all while hydrating your skin. I’ve been applying this day and night on the areas were I’m most prone to blackheads such as my nose and chin and have already seen a lot of improvement. The biggest difference I notice as well is that my pores look a lot smaller than what I had started out with. I can’t wait to see how this transforms those areas in the next coming months!

While I already have quite the collection of spot treatments, Spots Got Shot has to be my favourite of them all. The ones I use do work effectively but tend to dry out or flake my skin in the areas that I apply the treatment on – and well, this one doesn’t. Spots Got Shot ingredients include salicylic acid (an exfoliation that works not only on the surface but deep into the pores), lactic acid (does oil control and includes a gentle AHA exfoliant), and sulfur (controls & cures acne while lightning out scars).

Besides the affects of the cold winter weather, I tend to breakout before and during my period. Since it’s the season and that time of the month for me this has really been tested out to it’s full limits. Every time I apply this on after cleansing, toning, and moisturizing my face I notice that even within a day this treatment has shrunken the problem spots pretty drastically without drying any part either. Best of all, since it goes on clear it can be applied and left on throughout the day without the worry of it flaking or leaving oddly coloured patches on your face.

What skincare products have you recently discovered that have been life-changing in your routine?

Exactly! All our skin changes within age and I know that if I’ve been using the same products I was as a teen it would no longer do anything for me haha. I’m so surprised with how well this skin works so maybe you should give it a go!
