My Demeter Blend

Summer may be coming to a close, but temperatures have been spoiling us by passing on the last bunch of heat waves. For some of us, our perfumes and fragrances may differ from season to season. At this time of year, I personally like to keep my scents fresh and reminiscent of the summer time.

To customize my very own fragrance, I received the Demeter Foolproof Blending Trio in partnership with Canadian Beauty Bloggers to play around with. I of course wanted my fragrance to reflect who I was – so of the wide variety in the Demeter Fragrance Library I chose:

Salt Air | A fresh scent that smells like a more glamourized day at the beach. It’s a very light, clean, and oceany scent that will get your brain on a much needed vacation mood.

Jasmine | Smells just like the flower to be exact. This alone would not be my choice of perfume since I don’t think it has much of a statement – rather it be an accent to other fragrances.

Gin & Tonic | Definitely one of my drinks of choice on a night out. This is a unique scent that is a mixture of sweet, zesty, fresh, and surprisingly enough is a unisex fragrance since it does lean more on the masculine side.

I know, when you initially hear this combination it sounds a bit odd. I can tell you upfront though that these ended up working well together. I customized my personal Demeter blend, “Before Sunrise” (you know you love the name) to reminisce on a beach vacation. I made Salt Air and Gin & Tonic to be the top notes, while Jasmine lingers nicely underneath. As summer fades away, I see this being the perfect pick me up for whenever those cool or chillier days come by.

This post was NOT sponsored by Demeter, all opinions are my own.
