Can you believe October is almost over? Where does the time go! Any-who, I thought I’d take a short break from all the Halloween shizzle and show you the current products that I have been using. Hope you like it!
Kit Nail Lacquer in Nude Jude & Too Cool For School
Lately I’ve been shying away for colourfully bright nails and going more for neutrals instead. I stumbled upon these nail polishes at my local drugstore (Rexall). I had never heard of this brand or seen them online so when I got home I did some research to find out that these are paraben, toluene, and formaldehyde free polishes. But let’s talk about the packaging; it’s super cute right? The colour payoff is nice, there’s no problem with streaking, and it dries moderately. I will definitely be picking up more of these on my next visit!
Amie Morning Clear Purifying Facial Wash
When I first saw the labeled: “moisturizing facial wash for clear, soft skin”, I went in a bit of a panic since the word “moisturizing” tends to scare off anyone with very oily skin. But it was also written that the “Mayblossom and elderflower help to control oiliness and prevent blemishes”. That had some reassurance, but of course I needed to try it out myself for the final verdict. The first few times of using this wash took some getting use to only because it didn’t lather like other cleansers I’ve used. The fact that it kept my skin moisturized even after washing threw me off a bit (any oily skinned girl would be skeptical about this). I’ve been using this every morning for three weeks now and not once has it broken me out (yay!). The only one con I have is that my oily skin gets activated sooner than usual. But this facial wash smells ohhh-so-good and it keeps my blemishes under control. It’s a great addition to my near future winter skincare routine.
Nourish Organic Fresh & Dry Deodorant in Lavender Mint
On my last visit to Wholefoods, I decided to take a peek at the beauty section. As you can imagine I was a kid in a candy store, but I took control of my urges and narrowed my 10 items to 1. And yes, the one among the ten items I chose was a deodorant, but in all good reason! First off, everyone needs a good deodorant in their life. Second, I liked the fact that it is 100% natural, USDA-certified organic, free of aluminum, paraben, propylene glycol, and artifical ingredients. And Third, I’m a sucker for anything lavender and mint (the combination is even better). In my opinion, this is by far the best natural deodorant out there that actually works to keep you smelling fresh all day. Love, love, love!
NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams
So I jumped the bandwagon yet again. I’ve seen these on almost every beauty blog encountered. I told myself I wouldn’t give in, but then I saw all the pretty colours…and just like that, I gave in! So I picked up:
So far my go-tos have been Ibiza (which I wore in my Yelle In Concert post) and San Paulo. They really are worth the hype since they last all day (but course you need to touch up after eating or drinking) and even with the matte finish my lips don’t get dry.
