Old, new, & tomboy

Transitioning your wardrobe between seasons can be a bit confusing at times. Since days tend to be warm and nights get chilly I never really know what to wear without getting too hot or freezing my bum off. Recently I find myself pulling together a lot of quick boyish outfits when I just have no idea what to wear.

Normally I don’t buy any new spring clothes since they’re usually short lived for the season. Instead, I like to go back to some old favourite pieces such as my beloved utility jacket and mix it up with some new accessories. Just like clothing, I believe having some basic staple accessories are needed in every wardrobe. When you pick out the right pieces they can be worn and loved throughout any season.

Wearing: Emmko Denim Backpack [here], Pacsun Utility Jacket [alternative], Henley T-shirt from Italy, American Eagle Jegging [similar], Zara Plimsolls [here].

What are you favourite styles for spring?

I love tomboy inspired looks! love your outfit!

  2. In Canada it’s SO difficult to transfer from Winter to Summer… Spring is such a mess. Like sunny one day, rain the next oh and some more snow haha. Love this look though!

I love that tomboy looks seem so much more comfy and effortless while still looking trendy ^_^

It’s so easy to pull together! One con is that I’m always mistaken for a teenager though hahah well that might be a compliment too!

Hey Girl! I just signed up on your email list because I wasn’t getting anything in my inbox and missing your posts!! Hopfully I will be up to date when you post now. Love the utility jacket. I wear mine all the time. Totally with you on the saving $$. I have spent the least amount of money on my spring capsule this year.

    • Stacey says:

Thanks Shannon! I also signed up for your post as well so I see whenever you update 🙂 True! I pretty much just buy for winter and summer so that I can mix and match the pieces better!

This utility jacket is beyond perfect and you certainly do it justice – I love the khaki colour and the relaxed fit, it seems like a brilliant piece for this transitional season 🙂

¡Hola!

Very cool utility jacket Stacey! I love this outfit§ Right now I’m so happy to be able to go bare legged!;) Spring has sprung! 😉

    • Stacey says:

Ahh lucky you! My skin is so pale now, I think when I can bare my legs they will be confused and scared about the sunlight hahaha

  12. I think my favorite styles for spring is when the high waisted shorts come out. i feel like they’re so versatile, comfortable, and stylish – a total classic in one’s wardrobe. this year’s spring has been so confusing, especially in nyc. a few days ago it was warm as hell and now it’s freezing! the weather forecast even said that it’ll be snowing tomorrow. i’m so weather confused.

    • Stacey says:

I need me a pair of some black high waist shorts! Not a lot of stores are selling them just yet so I’m trying to be patient lol. I think our weather is a bit similar so you must be experiencing the horrible warm to freaking cold bursts throughout the week ;[

  13. I totally get what you’re saying about transitioning from winter to spring! One day it can be cold and dull and the next it’s sunny and warm. Right now I’m really into denim, I’ve recently bought a pair of cropped flared jeans and I’ve been wearing them lots with boots or mid-heel pumps. I also love my new bomber jacket, it goes with everything! Super excited about spring/summer fashion atm! Lovely post!

    • Stacey says:

I love your outfit ideas! And I’m a huge fan of mid heels as well <3 I'm so happy a lot of companies are now making this heel and not the super high ones anymore!
