Outfit Diary

It goes without saying that I’ve been lucky to be able to reach some of my summer wardrobe wishlist goals — all thanks to the help of companies such as Sammy Dress for letting me pick out a few items to add into my closet. When it comes to the clothing I want in my summer wardrobe, it’s all about adding in more colours, prints, and generally doing the opposite of what I do in the winter time. So far, all summer long I’ve been back to back with flowy pieces, and not once have I worn a pair of denim shorts, which is quite shocking even to me since last summer I was all about the denim life. I’ve taken a few turns and have made a few changes this time around.

Rompers are and always will be a staple in my summer wardrobe, since it’s such a simple one piece to throw on in seconds. A personal peeve I have is feeling under-dressed, and it could possibly just be my upbringing since my mother always made sure my sister and I were dressed well on the daily, meaning no sweatpants or anything that looked sloppy. The style of most rompers always make me feel put together in any situation or location, while staying cool in the hot summer temperatures. I picked out three rompers from the Sammydress summer 2017 Promotion because they always come in hand and are perfect for those days when you have no idea on what to wear.

Fashion and makeup are always changing, and whether we choose to follow trends, we’re at least inspired by what we see from many different sources. Especially with Instagram around we no longer have just celebrities to look up to for inspiration and ideas. I also love the fact that we all can see many different skin colours, shapes, and sizes through the gram, and that also helps us figure out what style works best for us.

Maybe you’ve already seen my ‘Summer Feels’ blog post, but if you haven’t, my head has been stuck on the idea of romance, and I’ve been fantasizing about and wanting a Tuscany-esque inspired summer and wardrobe — I flat out admit that I’ve found a lot of inspiration from the movies I’ve been watching recently! Call me crazy but nothing says long summer days in Florence than a flowy printed dress. Styles and the idea when building an outfit changes from day to day, but I can say the vintage and kind of retro look is what I’ve really been digging this summer. All I need now is to own a Vespa and I’m good to go!

I love these! I totally see a vintage-meets modern style here.
I love rompers and dresses but I don’t own that many… this has inspired me to do some more looking, though!
    You look gorgeous 🙂

You should! I know what you mean though, I don’t think I wore too many dresses as a younger adult but now I’m all about that life hahah

Thank you! I usually avoid the yellow family when it comes to clothing but I guess you just need the right shade and it’s all good 🙂

  7. These look really cute, specially the red one x

  8. You are so adorable Stacey! And that hair, ugh, i miss mine SO much when I look at yours. Although, mine didn’t have as much volume. I love your hair 🙂 And these outfits make me want to take another trip to go visit my sister in Stockton, because the weather is much warmer there. That would be nice to have just for one day! It’s fairly chilly in the Bay Area. I want a real summer! Like 75-80 degrees (f) so I can bring out all my florals.

I actually got a haircut and chopped off 5 inches! It’s still long though but not touching my butt crack anymore lol. But anyways I actually love your hair and love the way you coloured it that I was thinking maybe I need a change like that too! I googled the temperatures hahha and I’m shocked that you say you’re area is cooler because I kind of thought all of California was hot :/
