Packing liquids for flight

I generally like to pack as light as I can when traveling. The majority of trips I’ve taken consist of only my carry-on, tote, and I. For anyone else who travels this way knows how limiting the space can be especially when it comes to liquid beauty products. We all have our favourites and regimens that we follow day by day so sometimes packing them all up can a bit of a challenge.

Being away from home can get uncomfortable sometimes, so by packing all my favourites not only helps to make me feel like myself, but to make me feel at home as well. Hotel shampoos and conditioners just don’t preform that well on my hair so I prefer to bring my own haircare. Generally many companies now provide travel sized minis, and if you can’t find your favourites in mini form there are convenient small containers that make traveling a lot easier as well.

Personally it’s my skincare that takes up most of the space in my ziploc bag. If I’m heading somewhere with different temperatures from my city sometimes my skin has a freakout.  I always like to by prepared for if it happens by packing up my trusted favourites. Even though some products is under 3.4 oz/100 ml sometimes the packaging is bulky; to save some space and weight it’s always a good idea to transfer a bit of the product into another smaller travel container.

I like to spend the least amount of time possible getting ready while traveling (but still looking cute and presentable!) so as for makeup I like to keep it pretty basic. Foundation, concealers, mascara, and a colourful cream lipstick are about all I need when it comes to my liquid makeup choices.

Liquid & cream foundation
Powders (bronzer, eyeshadows, blush, etc)
Cream concealer
Lip liner
Liquid & gel eyeliner
Lipgloss & liquid lipstick
Eyebrow pencil
Eyebrow gel
Soild lip balm
Stick deodorant
Most skincare (cleanser, toner, moisturizer, serums)
Stick contour
Solid perfume
Shampoo & Conditioner
Makeup wipes

Do you have a hard time packing up just your favourites as well?
