Skincare do-over

These last few weeks have been quite the rollercoaster of events over on my end. Does anyone else have a bit of trouble getting back into the swing of things when they’ve been on a break? With all excuses aside – as of recently, I’ve been reconnecting a lot with makeup again, which has also made me rediscovering that my skin doesn’t always like the impact.

Cleansing & toning
Just like everyone else, skincare plays a huge role in my life – with that being said a lot has changed since my last skincare update. I’ve swapped out many products with new ones for my everyday regimen. I’ve been doing my best to keep things less complicated and a lot more simple. I like to start my day off with Paula’s Choice Resist Perfectly Balanced Foaming Cleanser, followed by their Resist Weightless Advanced Repairing Toner which help with anti-aging, protecting, and restoring the skin.

Getting that moisture
I’ve never really stayed true to any moisturizers just because I like jumping around and seeing what else is out there to try out. My current ones are both from CerVe – they are the AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 30 and the PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion. Both are wonderful moisturizers, and I’m rather found of the PM formula. However, the AM takes awhile to blend and sink in, but does it’s job once fully dried.

The treatments
I can’t seem to completely shake off the adult acne so applying the Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Exfoliant Gel from Paula’s Choice at night has been helping resolve most of those issues. Another line of skincare I’ve recently added into my regimen is from the brand Victoria Beauty. I was kindly sent some of their products from BeautyHaven.ca to try out. I’ve been using their Eye Contour Cream and Natural Rose Water from their Natural Roses of Bulgaria line, and it has improved my skin a lot more than any skincare treatments have done before. From one month of using their products, I’ve noticed my skin has been looking a lot more youthful and subtle – of course that’s a huge win! I never really knew the wonders that a mist can do for the skin.

What is one skincare product
you just can’t live without?

I so agree about getting back into routine after a break. Always struggle with that. Anyways, great post!! I’ve tried CeraVe moisturizer before, definitely a go-to! And I’ve been reading about Rose water products, sounds very intriguing!!

Yesss it’s so difficult but I think once you get back to normal it’s smooth sailing after that hehe. I’ve never tried rose water products until now and I love it!

  3. Great post! I love reading about everyone’s skincare regime just to compare and make sure that I’m still doing it right LOL. I haven’t tried any of these products but the rose water does sound good.
Currently my entire skincare regime is using the Vichy Purete Thermale range – I need to start using a toner too.

LOL I always like to see other peoples routine to see what I’m doing wrong. I really want to try Vichy but I always never know where to start when I go to Shoppers :]
