From my point of view, there’s absolutely nothing that compares to summer. I find the most inspiration and feel the happiest and gracious in these warm beautiful days. It’s the perfect time to make memories with friends and family, explore new and different places — whether you travel aboard or not, fall in love, and just never waste one moment of it all. Summer to me is also a time to be even more daring than your usual self. It can be anything from what you do daily, to how you dress up.
Throughout my entire life I’ve always gone through fashion phases and have never really feared stepping outside the box as long as it was still my style and best described me at that moment. I’ve been through studded belts, undersized band tees I collected from concerts, chopping off my hair into colourful mullets, to doing a complete 360 and switching over to cute Japanese oversized clothing style, along with the bangs and orangy trying to be ashy perfectly straight hair. I would say my style has calmed down a lot over the last few years, but every now and then I like to have some fun. As of right now I’m inspired by the simple beauty that comes from Italy — specifically in the Tuscany region, which oddly enough I’ve never got the change to see when I last visited the gorgeous country. I know it’s a bit strange, but if you couldn’t tell by now I’m a sucker for romance.
And this is where I found inspiration when picking out some pieces for my Zaful Wishlist. Since I’ve been caught in the romantic summer feels, I choose pieces that let me fantasize and escape to somewhere new. Although I’ll be here for now wearing them in the streets of Toronto — a girl can dream until her next vacation! Nothing says a girly romantic summer like prints and florals, wouldn’t you say? And summer is nothing without a swimsuit (realistically multiple swimsuits). I know the style is off theme of what I’m going for, but hey — it’s cute.
