That’s tight

I already know what you’re thinking — the title — who doesn’t appreciate some early 2000s slang, right? In my defense I thought it would be a cute title to introduce this stylish accessory. If you’re living in a place where winters are usually below 5 Celsius, you’d know that it’s not always easy to look cute and stay warm at the same time. Often times we end up freezing our bums off just in the name of fashion. One of the most underrated accessories has got to be tights. At least for me when I was growing up, tights were what I thought only mature ladies wore. Today I see it in a whole new light — not only do tights keep your legs feeling warmer, but they also smooth things out, and they easily balance out any outfit. From opaque to motif, there’s a design and style that can easily bring your look from chic to edgy.

How to wear tights

With a dress or skirt — When it doubt, go the classic route. Not only can tights turn your outfit into a more sophisticated look, but it can quickly liven up and add more style as well. And if we can be honest, sometimes we just don’t want to expose our legs. Perhaps they’ve become ashy from the winter cold, or you were having a lazy day and didn’t feel like shaving — tights to the rescue!

With ripped jeans — Easily make any ripped jeans stand out just a little bit more with different patterns, textures, and colours to choose from. I absolutely love this look since it shows off a little surprise. The more ripped the jeans has the better the peek-a-boo style has to offer.

With shorts — In my life I went though a phase when this was all that I wore: tights, jean shorts or dressy shorts, repeat. I still adore and occasionally rock out this look when I feel it. Wearing knee-high socks does add some extra fun and playfulness to the look as well.

I pretty much live in tights to be honest! That, and leggings. I actually can’t remember the last time I wore jeans or even trousers…! I don’t know what it is, I just always hated the idea of myself wearing jeans, haha. I love all the styling ideas, hun! The tights are so gorgeous and versatile. 🙂 Thank you for sharing! <3 xoxo

I honestly hate wearing jeans but winter is the only time they come out of the closet! In summer or when the weather gets warmer I’m all about shorts and dresses <3

Tights are a must here in Lithuania! I love wearing them with dresses, skirts, sometimes even under my jeans just to keep my legs warmer, haha 🙂

I am an avid tights-wearer because I grew up in a cold area and love wearing skirts and dresses. I never even thought about wearing them with ripped jeans, though! I’m gonna pass that tip to one of my college friends.. She’s a California girl who’s constantly complaining about the cold winters here and she always wears ripped jeans.
What a creative post! Lovely. Keep up the good work, girl! I always enjoy your content.
