The inbetween

If you’re living on the northeast coast you’d know how crazy this spring season has been so far. One day will be warm like true seasonal weather, then the next day is back to winter with temperatures sometimes below zero. If you’re unfortunately like myself, these dramatic changes can take a major toll on your skin.

For the last couple of long weeks I’ve been suffering from an acne breakout, and anyone who has experienced it knows that it can play around with your self-esteem. It can get bad for some people to the point where it changes the way they live their daily life. I’ll be one to admit that the sudden breakout had left me feeling anti-social. However, I’ve snapped out of the depression and decided instead of the acne controlling me, I’m going to control it.

Recently I’ve been trying out some new b.liv products to help my problematic skin and so far I’ve been seeing great results.

After cleansing I’ve made it a point to not skip out on toner. Although their Got Oil Relief Toner states that it controls oil I must say it works amazing at balancing your skin’s natural pH level without drying or leaving your face looking too matte. With their key ingredients being chamomile flower and witch hazel, it gives my oily skin the right amount of moisture and a natural glow.

Sheet masks have boomed on the skincare scene for awhile now and it’s not wonder they’re so popular. The word ‘moisture’ tends to scare off oily skin people but the reality is even oil skin needs moisturizing as well. The Immerse Me Utmost Moisture Original Japan Silk Mask is the perfect example of what dry or dehydrated skin needs since it’s infused with sodium PCA and HA+ (hyaluronic acid), which helps blind moisture and hydration.

Of all the last three b.liv products I’ve tried the Shrink & Tighten Large Pore Reducing Serum had really been the one that rescued my skin from the horrible breakout. Since it’s rich in oleanolic acid, vitamin C, and vitamin B3 all of these key ingredients have helped boost collagen, reduce the size of pores, and most importantly controlled my acne. I’m very happy with the results it has been showing that I can feel my self confidence coming back again!

Have you experienced an inbetween seasons breakout before? I’d love to know if there’s any specific products that you can always count on!
