The minimal face

It’s no secret that a lot of us ladies spent a ton of money on makeup – whether it be to enhance our natural features or to completely change us into a whole new person it’s there for us to play around with and discover. Well I don’t know what had come over me these last few years but wearing less makeup and letting my own beauty shine through has really become my preferred thing. Enhancing what I have and trying to focus on my favourite facial features is all I strive for in my everyday look.

I usually start my day off with my currently loved foundation, L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation which I only apply to the center of my face with a damp beauty sponge and blend it outwards until all harsh lines are invisible. If I find a product that can do more than one job I will cherish that baby to bits. The Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer is that exact product I talk about – not only is it perfect for bronzing but it’s amazing for contour and as a eyeshadow in the crease for some depth [especially does magic for those with hooded eyelids].

Moving onto brows – the Make Up For Ever Aqua Brow has pretty much been my holy grail for many years now. This is the only brow product that lets me put on brows perfectly in seconds which is great for whenever I’m in a rush. Since I don’t really wear much colour on my eyelids, lining my eyes with black polishes my look. I love using the Rimmel London Waterproof Gel Eyeliner along my lash-line, and I end it with the smallest of flicks. All makeup looks aren’t complete without mascara so Maybelline’s Lash Sensational has been my go-to for lots of volume.

It could be that it’s the fall season but I’ve recently been into matte blushes again. I received the Lancome Blush Subtil in Blushing Nude as a sample and the colour is perfect for everyday since it’s a very soft natural nudey pink. To finish off my entire look I always grab for my MAC Lip Pencil in Soar and apply it in an ombre affect going inwards on my lips.

  1. The Too Faced bronzer sounds great, especially if it can be used on my hooded eyes!
