Tribal and Wild

Spring is finally here (!!!) and for a lot of you lucky ones out there you’ve already been feeling the heat, while the rest of us we can only hope the weather catches up. If you’re from anywhere that snows, you especially know how everyone reacts if the slightest of heat rises. Everyone stops what they are doing, takes off as much clothes as possible, and heads outside.

If you’re like me, you probably don’t start spring cleaning your closet until summer. However, this year I decided to start earlier than usual. It’s time to throw those sweaters and long johns back into storage and bring out those colourful and fun pieces again. I’ve especially been dying to wear some new pieces that I picked up during an end of summer sale last year. I’ve never really noticed how much I’ve been drawn to tribal/aztec prints until I started looking through my wardrobe. Over the last few years I’ve accumulated quite a few playful tops and skirts.

Clockwise: Brandy Melville High-Slit Maxi Skirt (worn here), Garage black & white Bustier Bralette, American Apparel Afrika Print Cotton Spandex Jersey Tube Dress (on sale!), Silence + Noise High-Slit Maxi Skirt, Garage multi-colour Bustier Bralette.
