Happy Thursday! If you haven’t seen my previous post, I recently had some downtime for my injured bicep. Although there’s a little more time needed for healing my recovery has been going well; thanks to those of you who wished me get well! I’m sure we’ve all experienced this, but when we have a lot of spare time our mind wanders off into places we may not always take the time to acknowledge when we’re so busy. For me my mind always travels to places I wish I go to next.
Colombia – Since I haven’t made my way into South America yet it has been my latest fascination and desire for my next travels. I’ve already watched tons of documentaries on this colourful country to know that I’m dying to explore Medellín, Cartagena, Cali, and of course Bogotá. I’ve been doing language exchanges with Colombians for awhile now and learning more about their cultures and cities makes me even more eager to go!
Jerusalem, Israel – Perhaps it’s because I was brought up Catholic that I’ve always been so curious about this city. There truly are no words to describe how blissful the architecture is. Besides that, the interesting stories and history that come along with Jerusalem make it so much more intriguing that I’d love to someday go there and discover it all on my own.
Brazil – I’m pretty sure my yearning to go to this extremely diverse country started when I dated a half Brazilian guy in my college years who introduced me to their delicious food, lively music, and other eye-opening things in the Brazilian culture. I always wanted to go and explore Brazil ever since, and no I’m not with this guy anymore (haha). Nonetheless, São Paulo, Brasília, and Rio de Janeiro are still on my bucket list of travels.
Okinawa, Japan – I’ve been to Japan before and this unique place and culture will always have a very special place in my heart. It was my first solo travel, and that fact that I studied the language for 7 years and had so many wonderful friendships is something I hope to never forget. Okinawa is a different side of Japan that not all people even know exists. Think the opposite of Tokyo and you got beautiful beaches and island life here!
Santorini, Greece – Can you tell I’ve been very deprived of the sun, beaches, and bikini time? Whether you have the urge to go or not, there’s no denying that Santorini is one gorgeous and dreamy city. I’m drawn in by its scenery and minimalistic architecture that has so much culture, charm, and beauty to offer. For me visually, Santorini is everything I ever imagined in my head that was my idea of true paradise and romance.
If you have already been to any of these places I’d love to know your experiences!
