Wearing makeup in the summer can be a drag at times since it just doesn’t want to stay put and can quickly slip or rub off your face. Although it’s always best to wear less in the heat there are going to be times when more makeup is needed such as parties, outdoor events, special occasions, or just those days where you’re not feeling your greatest and need a confidence boost.
Some of us aren’t completely secure to just go completely barefaced out the door (it’s very hard for me to leave the house without filling in my eyebrows and applying mascara no matter where I’m going). The following products have been my go-to’s and have never let me down. Besides being waterproof and sweatproof, they also hold up pretty well on oily skin .
Make Up For Ever Full Cover Waterproof Concealer
This has been my favourite concealer as long as I can remember because it has never slipped off my face. I can always count on it for amazing coverage on any blemishes, scars, other imperfections, and it also stays looking perfect throughout the entire day.
e.l.f. Contouring Blush & Bronzing Cream – St. Lucia
Whenever I need a strong contour to last all day I always turn to this cream contour and blush kit. This duo can last hours on end when I’m dancing and sweating up a storm. The contour side does leans more on the warmer side so it might not be everyone’s taste but as a bronzer it would look amazing on all skin tones.
NYX Waterproof Eyebrow Gel – Chocolate
I use to underestimate this product but ever since I tested it out while I went swimming I was totally impressed. It stayed on and didn’t budge one bit. Even when I take a shower it’s still on until I use an oil-based makeup remover. If you want your brows to be 100% waterproof you need this in your life!
Missha 7 Days Tinted Eyebrow
Sometimes it’s just easier to embrace a more natural brow so that’s why I’m obsessed with these eyebrow tints that last up to 7 days. I apply the tint over my brows before I go to bed, then wash them off in the morning to reveal a super natural tint. This with some eyebrow gel and you’re pretty much set for the day.
ColourPop Super Shock Shadow – Smash
Preferably I’d rather not wear eyeshadows when it’s hot outside, but for special occasions I opt for neutral colours instead of more bold colours. I love this satin golden brown since it’s extremely easy to apply [with even just your fingers], goes on like butter, and of course leaves you with a flattering wash of colour.
Rimmel London Waterproof Gel Eyeliner
Most gel eyeliners I’ve tried have not been able to withstand hot and humid summer days, however this one has really been put to the test and works like a charm. It never smudges or rubs off if I accidentally scratch at my eyes or if I want to refresh my face with a splash of water.
Maybelline The Rocket
This mascara always works and has never let me down so it’s been very hard to step away and try another waterproof mascara. It rarely flakes, falls flat, or makes my lashes look spidery, instead it extends and volumizes my lashes to the point where they are touching my eyebrows – all the more reasons to love it.
Rimmel London Provocalips Kiss Proof Lip Colour – Make Your Move
Talk about staying power – I can apply this on in the morning and it’s still on my lips by the end of the day. I’ve been searching for a colour like this for a long time and it is the perfect pinky-nude colour on my lips.
Sleek MakeUp Pout Polish SPF 15 – Pink Cadillac
So this may be an unexpected product on the list, however once this product rubs off it works perfect as a lip stain although it’s not intentionally suppose to be one. In fact it stains my lips into a pretty pink flushed colour that just reminds me a lot about summer.
I’d love to know what your favourite waterproof beauty products are 🙂
