It’s been a pretty long time since I stepped foot into a drugstore looking for makeup, and I can tell you after a long time I was pretty overwhelmed with how many new products are out there now. To be honest I was confused where to even start, so if you have any suggestions or recommendations to what I should get the next time I’d love to know! For now I just picked up the few products that I actually needed.
Maybelline Waterproof Lash Sensational
So after many dedicated years to my Maybelline The Rocket mascara I thought it was finally time to try a new one for a change. There’s been lot of rave on the Lash Sensational online so I purchased it and have been using it for about two weeks now. I have to say I do really like this mascara, however I still love The Rocket much better. Since Lash Sensational does have a very nice volumizing effect I believe pairing this with The Rocket which is excellent in both volume and especially in length would be the ultimate mascara.
L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte 24HR Foundation | 107 Fresh Beige
Because of my oily skin I struggle a lot with finding a foundation that doesn’t make me super shiny within an hour. Since it’s summer and my my skin isn’t matching with my usual foundations either I needed to pick up a more suitable shade. Again I’ve seen lots of people raving about this foundation so I thought no harm in giving it a go. Although this foundation is too yellow (I have more red undertones in my skin) for my personal liking I do absolutely love it. It wasn’t just this colour that I picked up either that had yellow to it – a lot of the other colours had it as well. If I focus applying it in the center of my face and blend it out very well the yellow is a lot less noticeable. The finish is amazing, covers up imperfections pretty well, say it will keep you demi-matte which does, and is super light on the skin. I do forget it’s even on so that’s a huge plus so I would definitely repurchase this in the future.
OGX Nourishing Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum
I took a break from using hair serums and oils for no reason whatsoever, but since I went through another hair transformation I thought it would be a good idea to add in a serum to my hair regimen again. For drugstore shampoos and conditions I love the OGX Coconut Milk collection and thought the matching serum would be a great additional. The serum includes whipped egg white proteins and of course coconut oils as well. It’s super lightweight so it doesn’t weigh down or make my hair feel waxy like other serums tend to do. It also smells exactly like their shampoo and condition which I love!
Have you gotten your hands on any of these products and did you like any of them?
