Graceful Cosmetics

Although I love beauty subscription boxes, I admit that I don’t test out enough of them as I’d like to. Well I’ve been lucky, since I was recently sent over a subscription bag from Graceful Cosmetics to try out. If you haven’t heard of them, they’re a monthly beauty subscription bag that has fun yet practical beauty and lifestyle products to play around with. Every bag sent out is personalized for each subscriber, and is valued between $100-$200 in every bag for $27.99 per month. I especially love the fact that all their cosmetics are Health Canada, FDA Approved, and Animal Cruelty Free.

Graceful Cosmetics included 2 very generously full-sized BIOAQUA skincare products. Starting off with the Blackhead Removal Bamboo Charcoal Mask, which is a liquid peel off mask that helps to remove dulling surface cells and impurities while softening and restoring skin back to a more youthful glow. It’s best to only concentrate the product in areas where you’re most prone to blackheads such as on the nose and chin, and leave the mask on until dried. I can’t remember the last time I used a mask like this and I must say that the formula has improved a lot and removed my blackheads pretty well.

The second BIOAQUA product in the beauty bag is the Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask, which got me all kinds of excited! You might have seen this type of bubble mask floating around the beauty world awhile back—as its best known for its somewhat outrageous 3D affect once the bubbles form on the face. It takes about 5 minutes for the bubbles to develop and it helps to clear the skin from leftover makeup, excess oil and surface dirt, by mildly cleansing and moisturizing your skin. Aside from the tingling bubble face (literally), I’d say this is a good product for what it’s worth since it did leave my skin feeling very clean and soft after removing the mask.

There was a good amount of makeup to play around with in this beauty bag. It included a Beauty Sponge to help with the application of the brands own Moisture Foundation SPF 18. I’m not sure if there are different shades available in this foundation, but initially looking at the bottle I received I could tell it would already be too light on my skin tone. With a bit of buffering, I was able to make it work and it goes look quite natural. One other con would be that if you have oily skin such as myself this might be a bit too moisturizing for your liking. Either than that the coverage is light, slightly dewy, and has a pleasant scent that fades after hours of application.

The rest of the makeup portion comes with their Precision Eye Definer Pen in Black, and Lip Gloss Creme Brilliance in the colour Modest. The felt tip eyeliner does what it says it does and is very precise upon application, and it’s great for achieving the perfect cat eye liner. As for the lip gloss, although it’s not really a colour I would pick out for myself, I did end up liking it since it’s very pigmented, has a doe foot applicator, and is flattering alone or with a lipstick underneath. It’s a beautiful pink nude that isn’t too sticky either—that alone gets a ton of bonus points.

As this seems to be a beauty bag for someone’s overall needs, Graceful Cosmetics also included 2 miscellaneous items; the first one being a drawstring adhesive bra, or better known as the “Instagram Bra”. I’ve already had my go with this type of bra, but for those who have never tried it out and have always wanted to this would be a fun treat for someone to play around with. Last but not least, the bag also includes Skinny Teatox Tea’s 14 Day Detox Morning Boost tea, along with tea filters which I thought was a very cute touch! I personally don’t believe in these types of teas that are suppose to speed up your metabolism and help you lose weight; however—gimmicks aside—I do love tea with delicious ingredients such as green tea, oolong, ginger, pomegranate, and papaya just to name a few.

What was the last subscription box you tried out?
This post was not sponsored by Graceful Cosmetics — I was kindly sent these items. All opinions are my own.

  1. I really like the sound of this box, it’s great value for money. And I absolutely love that all their products are cruelty-free. The masks sound really good and so does the eyeliner. I’d probably be sold by any company including tea in their box – I don’t really believe in teas helping you lose weight but I love tea with natural and fresh ingredients xx

I know exactly how you feel! I do think they help with speeding up the motabolism but no where can you loose weight solely and sustainably from tea.

I have always had mixed feelings about subscription boxes! The value is great for money but at the same times, products can be so hit and miss – especially over here in the UK, the boxes just don’t seem that good! I really like the look of this one, though. It seems like a nice variety of usable items. 🙂 I’ve never heard of ‘the instagram bra’ before! But I definitely like the look of that tea, I’m a massive tea-lover so this would be right up my alley! Thanks for sharing, lovely. xoxo

Really you never saw those ads on IG of the girls with the drawstring bras?? They were invading my feed at one point that it got out of control lol! Anyways I’m glad you enjoyed my review 🙂

I haven’t tried a beauty subscription in years, but this one looks great! I love that it includes not only beauty and skincare, but some other items too. Not to mention cruelty free and FDA approved are always a bonus! The bubble clay mask sounds so cool, and I never even knew there was such a thing as the “Instagram Bra'”. Thanks for sharing about this subscription box x
