I must say, Canadian companies have been taking the beauty world by storm, specifically in my city of Toronto, it has been killing it recently (with my favourite skincare brand being DECIEM’s The Ordinary FYI). A new discover has been Sade Baron, which is another amazing Canadian company that crafts together their own soaps, mists, body & hand care in-house focusing on beneficial plant-based ingredients and essential oils that work best on your skin and body. Sade Baron let me pick out a view items to enjoy from their 100% vegan and cruelty-free line.
When you become more attuned with beauty and skincare, the thought of using any type of soap on your face can be a bit terrifying. And although I still wouldn’t exchange my cleansers for soap I do think the Castile Liquid Soap is a very refreshing facial and body soap for a little something throughout the day. In my case, my oily skin tends to get out of control in the summertime and needs a mid-day fresher. I’ve used this to wash my face halfway through the day or whenever I’ve felt super oily, and I love how it keeps the moisture in while keeping my face fresh and shine free as well. This is also a wonderful item to throw in your gym bag or if you’re going to the beach, since it’s packed with Avocado Oil, Olive Oil, and Coconut Oil ingredients to leave skin feeling soft and hydrated — plus you got to also love the warm citrusy smell that fills the air.
The French Pink Clay Soap has pretty much resurrected my love for hand-made soaps. It’s enriched with French Pink Clay, Rose Geranium, Winter Green and Lavender Essentials Oils; as well as it’s infused with Ylang Ylang, which is well known for being the perfect antiseptic for the prevention of skin irritations and aging. The problem with many bar soaps is that they tend to suck out moisture, but since the French Pink Clay Soap includes wonderful ingredients such as Shea Butter and Castor Oil, your skin is kept smooth and moisturized.
I’d like to take the time to thank my mom for introducing me to body creams and moisturizers at such a young age because if it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t be the woman I am today. It’s the first thing I apply right as I get out of the shower and is a big part of my daily beauty routine. That being said, I’ve used quite a lot and experimented with a vase amount of body creams and have been pretty picky when it comes to owning the right ones. I honestly thought the Lemongrass Body Cream was going to be your generic cream, but it really proved me wrong. It’s the perfect amount of not being too light or too heavy on the skin, and quickly absorbs without any greasy or sticky feeling afterwards. I also thought I’d step out of my comfort zone with Lemongrass, and it managed to win me over with it’s scent — although it just might be the undertone smells of Geranium and Sweet Orange convincing me otherwise.
It was love at first smell with Sade Baron’s Fresh Luxe Body Mist. I’ve always loved the scent of the LUSH Sea Spray, and although I didn’t care as much for the actual performance of the product, I always wondered where I can just get the scent in a perfume form. Years later and my prayers have been answered! From what I can remember from the Sea Spray, the Fresh Luxe Body Mist smells similar, if not identical to it and I’m absolutely in love. The first key ingredient is Aloe Vera, which is great for hydrating and calming down any inflammation to the skin; and the second key ingredient is Neroli Floral Water, which is an astringent that’s great on sensitive or oily skin. This body mist gives off that amazing fresh and very summery beach vibe scent.
